I picked this person as an exemplar of hope since I think they truly embody that.
Spider-Man can always get up no matter the situation. He reflects my personal definition by the
way he is able to push forward no matter what’s thrown at him and is able to inspire others
around him. There are many cases where you see him at his lowest, and it seems that he’s at his
limits, yet he can still push through all the hardships and refuse to give up on what he believes is
the right thing to do. Spiderman’s story is also one that can be connected to the course of the idea
that hope must be visible through action by the way Spiderman was able to go through many
setbacks with family, friends, etc. yet still choosing to help others. Spiderman doesn’t rely on
religion and often goes against what’s destined for him when something that he doesn’t want to
happen is inevitable and still is able to go against all the odds. He represents perseverance and
stands out more than other figures that sightly represent hope. I think this was the best way to
represent my exemplar since its bright, colorful and Spiderman is able to stand out from the other
people in the image. Spiderman having fists up shows his confidence and his determination to
win no matter what. The bright sun or light behind him is him being symbolized as the best
outcome. Think of it has being surrounded by darkness and depression and seeing someone help
you as the light that’s shining bright. Basically, when all hope is lost, he’s the light that shines the
brightest and brings hopes to those who are lost. The crowd around him celebrating and being
happy shows how he inspires hope to others around him. The red confetti around him are shaped
as a number one since for many people he can be seen as their number one hero or person.
Someone that stands above all in a good way and is someone that you can count on no matter
what. Overall Spiderman himself is a symbol of hope just by seeing his costume with the spider
logo you can be hopeful that he’ll save the day. Whatever seems to be the impossible he is able
to turn it into the possible. Spiderman is an icon of hope that truly embodies all aspects of my
personal definition of hope. Someone that truly goes against all odds and inspires everyone that
sees his red and blue costume. Without hesitation, he always does what he thinks is the best thing
to do and has a beautiful impact on those who believe in him. Hope is something he himself will
never lose no matter what.
